Abercrombie & Kent Ltd presents: Jon Nicholson

Abercrombie & Kent has teamed up with acclaimed photo-journalist Jon Nicolson to offer a number of exceptional opportunities to visit and photograph some of the most spectacular and vibrant countries in the world.
Jon has been a professional photographer for over 26 years and is well known for his behind-the-scenes work with many of the world’s top sporting personalities and teams, including Lewis Hamilton and the McLaren Mercedes team during the 2008 Formula One Championship. Jon’s non-sporting work includes shoots for many of the world’s major magazines, including The National Geographic, Sunday Times Magazine and Condé Nast Traveller.
He works with many of the UN agencies including UNICEF and UNFPA to record topical issues unfolding throughout many different parts of the world. What makes Jon’s photography stand out is the exclusive access he seeks out and secures; his area of expertise is to follow his subject intently, whether an individual or situation, and document the whole story. During his career he has published many books – and is currently in the final stages of shooting a book that celebrates the British coastline – on polaroid film. He has just been commissioned to shoot the official commemorative book for the London 2012 Olympics.
As well as leading Abercrombie & Kent’s specialist photographic group journeys, Jon is also available as a private guide to accompany all or part of a trip. During each journey, Jon will seek out the best photo opportunities, provide technical tips and critique images at the end of each day.
