Ash Bhardwaj has built a career by challenging the conventions of travel journalism. His work focuses on the interplay of travel, current affairs, identity, privilege, race, historical narrative and the environment. He has written for all the UK’s leading travel magazines and newspapers and writes a monthly column – Lost & Found – for The Telegraph. He regularly reports for BBC Radio Four and the World Service, co-hosts The First Mile travel podcast, and is a visiting lecturer in Journalism at the City, University of London.
