Charlie Walker is a British explorer and writer specialising in long-distance, human-powered expeditions visiting remote peoples. He has travelled over 50,000 miles by bicycle, foot, horse, ski, kayak and dugout canoe. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a three-time recipient of the Transglobe Expedition Trust’s “Mad but Marvellous” award. His work has featured in a range of publications including The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, Wanderlust, Geographical and Sidetracked magazine, as well as BBC Radio 4 and the World Service. He has written two books about his experiences.
