This year, the rains came earlier than normal. The migration of wildebeest zebra and buffalo was drawn to cross the Mara river early. The wildebeest are in the western corridor. 

This has made for a superb experience in the central west of the Serengeti. If you have the ability to make a last minute booking, you should jump on a plane to Tanzania. 

And if you cannot leave in the next three weeks, now time to make your bookings for the calving season in Ndutu and then of course the river crossings of next year..
