Humboldt Travel is a small luxury operator owned by husband-and-wife team Simon and Kirsty Williams. We specialise in luxury, tailor-made holidays to Latin America, Asia and Africa. Using our extensive black book of local contacts, we craft exceptional trips and luxury experiences, working with you to create your dream journey.
Humboldt takes its name from Alexander von Humboldt, the 19th century Prussian explorer who achieved remarkable things during his life. Once labelled by Charles Darwin as ‘the greatest scientific traveller who ever lived’, Alexander von Humboldt’s remarkable legacy continues to this day in the many species and destinations around the globe that still bear his name. It’s that sense of adventure and conscious awareness of the planet which inspires us today. We work tirelessly to ensure we collaborate with the most unique and spectacular properties and locations around the world.
We believe in conscious travel which will make your holiday more enriching, enabling you to become immersed in destinations rather than just visiting. For everyone who travels with us, we donate to our chosen charity within that country. This enables local community projects to pay for things like children’s schooling in Peru, a health project in South Africa or a women’s co-operative in India. For us this is also about inspiring our guests, so that they return home full of knowledge and enthusiasm for the country they’ve visited, the wildlife they’ve seen and the people they’ve encountered. We firmly believe that when travel is done right it can create such a positive impact.
We’re a small independent company and because of this each and every booking is very important to us. You’re not just a number in a monthly sales target.
