Tailor Made Safaris is a family owned and managed travel business and is located in the small village of St Lucia, South Africa. We live, work and play in the heart of Zululand.

The holidays we sell are the same holidays we have taken our loved ones on. We know Zululand!

Like many folks, we abhor travelling days and wasted time in airports or on the long roads. Which is why we tailor make the holiday to minimise your travel time and maximise the holiday time.

Allow me to tell you a little about where we live, the area on the North coast of South Africa nicknamed 'the Elephant Coast'. This area stretches from Durban up to Mozambique and a few 100kms inland to the Game Reserves. Along the coast line you will experience marine protected areas that boast untouched forests and beaches, this protection means that the humpback whales are safe to breed in the area, that the 'nearly extinct' leatherback turtle is safe to lay eggs in this area, that the thousands of marine animals are safe to breed and explore these waters. This coast line is known as one of the top 10 scuba diving sites in the world, due to its healthy coral reefs and abundant marine life. iSimangaliso Wetland Park (place of wonder) is South Africa's first World Heritage Site and focuses on protecting the natural environment for generations to come.

The essence of the Zulu culture grows strong in the area, among the people and land that is protected by the Zulu King and his tribe. They are committed to maintaining their history and work closely with Nature Conservationists to keep the traditions alive. A visit to Kosi Bay will highlight the simple ancient ways of the Zulu people.

Zululand, is a wildlife mecca and boasts up to 7 different ecosystems for animals and flora to thrive. Maybe not as well known as the Kruger National Park, Zululand boasts several National and Private Game Reserves that are working together to provide a safe and natural habitat for all of Africas wildlife and for you to experience first hand. 

We absolutely love this area, there is so much for a nature enthusiast to see and do and the best part is that each of these areas are a 2-3 hour drive away from each other. 

The Elephant coast offers Beach and Bush experiences all in close proximity, thereby maximising your experience and minimising your travel time. This is why we are confident you will love what we have to offer you.
